Preity Zinta Opens Up On Her Family Fighting COVID-19; Says She Felt 'Helpless, Powerless' During Their Battle With Coronavirus

Actor Preity Zinta has finally heaved a sigh of relief after her family members recently tested negative for the Novel Coronavirus. In her long Instagram post, she penned her heartbreaking message explaining how she felt helpless and powerless when her family members were diagnosed with COVID-19. She mentioned that after her mother, brother and his wife, kids and uncle tested positive soon, their health soon got critical and the terms like ventilators, ICU and oxygen machines came into the picture, leaving the actress worried. The actress posted a family picture along with her post.
Preity Zinta began her Instagram post with, “Three weeks ago my Mom, brother, his wife, kids & my uncle all tested positive for Covid. Suddenly terms like ventilators, ICU and oxygen machines took a new meaning. I felt helpless & powerless here in America, far away as he battled it out in the hospital.” Later in her post, she thanked the doctors and nurses for working tirelessly taking care of her family members. She also urged people not to take COVID-19 lightly and follow safety measures.
She further penned, “I’m so grateful to the almighty and to all those wonderful doctors & nurses that worked tireless to take care of them. For all of you who don’t take Covid seriously please be warned that this can become dangerous overnight so please take care, wear a mask & practice social distancing.”
On the end note, she mentioned being happy after her family members tested negative and now finally this New Year will indeed be a happy new year for her. “Today, after hearing that they have all tested negative I can finally fall asleep & stop stressing.
